Details on upcoming Flying Pig A meet

Post date: Mar 23, 2013 7:32:46 PM

Sunday is the deadline for registering for the Flying Pig without the late fee (so you’ll need to register online to avoid the fee). There are only a tiny handful of ICO members in the registration list so far! Don’t miss this chance to run on A-meet-quality courses and freshly updated maps right in our own backyard! This is going to be a good one!

You've got a number of options spread over all three days of the meet:

Friday: IU Bloomington Campus, Sprint Distance

Saturday: Yellowwood State Forest, Long Distance

Sunday: Ransburg Middle Distance

All of these are good solid courses AND there are at least 160 runners signed up so far!

Info about the event (and a link to register at the top) can be found at:

Volunteers Needed!

We are also trying to find some ICO volunteers to help during the weekend. Nothing stressful; things like parking, starting runners, running clothes back from the start to the finish area (which might be hard work at Yellowwood), setup/teardown, traffic control on Saturday, clearing controls. We are hopeful that you might also be interested in helping out. Please send us an email at info@indyo.org.

Club member Rob Minto has been putting in a TON of work on the course at Yellowwood to help make this event happen. It would be really great if more of our club members could put in a hand to help out. If you have any more detailed questions about the meet or volunteering in general feel free to email him directly at rminto@iupui.edu
