Rogaine Volunteer Callout

Post date: Mar 06, 2010 9:49:41 PM

As the date of this year’s Conquer the Crossroads Rogaine draws near, we need volunteers to help make this event a success. There are a number of ways that you can assist the club with this years event.

Control Placement  We will begin placing controls the week-end before (3/12). The control locations are already marked. If you can finish an Orange course, can over 2+ miles through the forest, want to spend a morning, afternoon, or all day in scenic Yellowwood State Forest, and aren’t going to compete, this is the job for you.

Event Operations The day of the event  We can use help with registration, manning the HQ, food preparation, and patrolling the course. If you can help out for half a day or all day, everyone is welcome.

Control Retrieval Starting on 3/21  We need to pick up after ourselves. Everyone is welcome. You can relive your rogaine experience, or just enjoy the rugged beauty of Brown County without the pressure of being on the clock.

Volunteers get the good feelings that come from helping out, navigation practice, exercise, time in the great outdoors, and a copy of the Official Rogaine Map. If interested, contact Frank Baukert at 317-709-6591. For more information about the event and the club in general, be sure to check out www.indyo.org
