ICO needs you!  Call out for volunteer board members.

Post date: Aug 20, 2010 6:27:42 PM

As promised here is the announcement about our search for some volunteer board members for the upcoming year.  Below are the board positions as well as brief descriptions of some of the duties of each position.  If you have ANY interest in helping out, please contact us.  Without a steady crew of volunteers the club cannot continue to succeed and grow, so please consider offering some of your time.  If we have multiple people interested in one position that is NOT a problem!  Multiple people just means that more work can get done, or each person will be required to do a little less.

Mapping Director - Manage and drive all things mapping.  Keep track of all current club maps, look into new mapping opportunities, update and correct existing club maps.  This is a great area to help out if you want to take your navigation skills to the next level!  We have some ambitious plans in this area and can use all the help we can get.

Equipment Director - Physically keep and track all gear.  Maintain online inventory and work with meet directors to make sure that all gear is available when needed

Membership Director - Maintain all membership records, provide updated membership info to meet directors, contact club members with membership inquiries when needed.

Publicity Director - Manage all notification channels for advertising and publicizing meets along with finding new areas to publicize club events.

Secretary - Record meeting minutes and publish on club website

Education Director - Direct all things education including ensuring clinic instructors are at all meets and providing instructors to events and groups outside of the club.

We can't stress how important it is that our club members volunteer some of their time to helping with the club.  The more support we get from our members, the more the club will thrive.

If you have any questions about any of the positions, please drop us a line at info@indyo.org.

Thanks, and we'll see you out there!
