12/06/14 - Camp Belzer

The weather Friday and into early Saturday morning was not looking good as the rain came down constantly, and at times REALLY hard.  Fortunately the precipitation cleared and although it was cold we were saved from the rain.  The courses were slippery in places but major injuries were avoided and everyone seemed to enjoy their (sometimes muddy) run.

Joel Sauer and Brad Kirschling (along with some guidance from Rob Minto) designed and set white and yellow courses along with a really nice green course that drew a total of 28 starts across all courses.

There were a couple of rookies out to try orienteering for the first time including Reese Guyman who managed to post the fastest white course time on his first meet out!

Mattias Eriksson once again showed up a little late, and then posted the fastest time on the toughest course.  Something the rest of us are getting quite used to.

Thanks to Brad and Joel for doing a great job designing and setting courses as well as directing the meet.

As always, if you're interested in getting involved with the club in any way, don't hesitate to contact us at info@indyo.org.  NO orienteering skill is required to help out!

See you out there!
