Rogaine Volunteer and Team Info Updates

ICO’s annual Conquer The Crossroads Rogaine is ready to kick off on Saturday at Jackson-Washington State Forest! Please note the following updates:

Volunteers Still Needed:   Event Director Frank Baukert can still use some help during the day on Saturday, especially in the morning and afternoon manning the race HQ.  Volunteers wouldn’t have to stay the entire day.  Also, more help picking up controls would be greatly appreciated. If you can lend a hand for any length of time, please contact Frank directly at 317-709-6591 as soon as possible.

Traffic/Construction:  There is a lot of construction on I-65 south of Indy.  It shouldn’t affect early morning travel that much, but it would be prudent to allow some extra time.  The NCAA final four will be held in Indy this weekend.  The first games are Saturday night.  This shouldn’t affect most teams, but teams heading south and north of Indy might want to keep this in mind.

Camping:  There is camping available near the start at Knob Lake and at Starve Hollow SRA.  See DNR’s website for details.

Parking:  Parking next to the shelter is limited to event volunteers.  Teams should park in the lot just below the shelter.  Rogaine teams are encouraged to carpool.  At the very least, meet at one of the other lots in the campground, and park one vehicle at the start area.  Parking at campsites is restricted to registered campers only.  Please respect this.

Water:  The taps in the campgrounds are still off.  Teams should plan on carrying their own water for the entire course.

Please see all the regular event info at the ICO WEB PAGE. See you this Saturday!
