The Lafayette November Orienteering Series started strong today with a score O event at McAllister Park. 29 individuals and teams competed on the course set by Alex Eriksson. Of the 7 individuals and teams who cleared the course (visited all controls) Zak Erosdi was fastest with a time of just under 56 minutes. By coincidence, participants were treated to music, cookies and cider at a section of the course, as the city had its official opening of a new bicycle ramp to the Sagamore Parkway bridge at the same time. Kudos to Rob and Brenda for helping pick up controls and to Frank for helping with beginner instructions. Biggest thanks to Alex who came up with the idea of this event series, updated the map and set the course.
Simple results can be found below. (Each control was worth 10 points and each started minute above the 90 minute limit incurred a 10 point penalty.)
