We had a great time in the snowy woods at ICO's first solo National Ranking Event! Over 50 hardy orienteers came out to take on the challenging long courses, made even more challenging by the snow, on our Story West map in Hoosier National Forest.
Thank you to the many people who helped make the meet a success: Mattias and Alex Eriksson for designing the original courses for the cancelled Flying Pig race, revising the courses with a remote start, and putting out all but one of the controls in the dark on Friday evening (finishing after 10:00 pm); Rob Minto for his first forest map; Matthew Robbins as results lead; Rob Minto, Jerry Lyons, and Jasper Ralinovsky as start crew; Dylan Poe and Mike Minium for helping with downloads; David Boes for check-in; Zakarias Erosdi, Mattias Eriksson, and others going out this week for control pick-up; and most importantly, Ryan Dunlap, Jerry Lyons, Matthew Robbins, and Stephanie Ross for bringing heaters.
