Yellowwood Goat + Score-O Races

Sun. Dec. 17, 2023

A hearty group of experienced and beginner orienteers took on the steep ridge and reentrant terrain of Yellowwood State Forest on Sun. Dec. 17.  The ultra-long, mass-start Goat races tested endurance as well as navigation while the 1.5-hr Score-O race gave a taste of some of the best orienteering in Indiana.   Thanks to Rob Minto for planning the courses and setting out and retrieving controls; to Aidan Minto for course consultation; to Brenda Blacklock for check-in, download and lunch; to Kyle Wills and Al Gossard for all of their help in control pick up; and to Dylan Poe for setting up the Livelox event.

Thanks  to all who came out and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Simple results are below.  Splits are available on Attackpoint.

We have a Livelox event set up for the Goat races where you can upload your track and compare your route to other runners.  This is a great way to learn from the choices of other competitors.
