09/17-18/11 Hoosier Outdoor Experience/National Orienteering Day

We hope everyone will be able to come out for this years Hoosier Outdoo Experience where ICO will be holding its National Orienteering Day meets.  We will have white and yellow courses (hopefully a couple of each) as this is geared very much towards beginners and first timers and we are limited a bit by the HOX even in general.

Remember, this is a FREE event and there will be lots of hands-on activities including mountain biking, archery, horse riding, camping, hiking, hunting, and all sort of other outdoor hobbies.  Bring the whole family anytime from 9AM-6PM on Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th of September.
To ATTEND:

There is no cost for the event OR for participating in any of the courses.  Remember though, we are offering beginner courses only.  Please visit the DNR site for info about the event.  It will require a little more logistic planning than usual.  You will need to park off site and take a shuttle in to the park but the shuttles run frequently and the drop off is right across the parking lot from where we will be located.

There will be lots to do besides orienteering so we suggest you take advantage of the event!

To VOLUNTEER:
1.  Please email your availability (how many hours you’d like to volunteer and which times you are available, along with your preference to run the mini o meet or be a friendly face at the booth) to info@indyo.org ASAP.

2.  Then, sign up with the DNR so they can do a background check and will let you volunteer.
