Sunday is the deadline for registering for the Flying Pig without the late fee (so you’ll need to register online to avoid the fee). There are only a tiny handful of ICO members in the registration list so far! Don’t miss this chance to run on A-meet-quality courses and freshly updated maps right in our own backyard! This is going to be a good one!
You've got a number of options spread over all three days of the meet:
Friday: IU Bloomington Campus, Sprint Distance Saturday: Yellowwood State Forest, Long Distance Sunday: Ransburg Middle Distance
All of these are good solid courses AND there are at least 160 runners signed up so far! Nothing stressful; things like parking, starting runners, running clothes back from the start to the finish area (which might be hard work at Yellowwood), setup/teardown, traffic control on Saturday, clearing controls. We are hopeful that you might also be interested in helping out. Please send us an email at info@indyo.org.
Club member Rob Minto has been putting in a TON of work on the course at Yellowwood to help make this event happen. It would be really great if more of our club members could put in a hand to help out. Just a quick message to let everyone know that registration is now officially open for this year's rogaine on April 20th. It will be starting at Deam Lake SRA. We'll have all the details posted very shortly.

A few brave folks braved the cold temps and muddy conditions to enjoy some challenging courses at Cataract Void. Click here to see the results.
Thanks to Jerry Lyons for designing and setting the courses and Mattias Eriksson for picking up controls.

We have a meet coming up a week from Saturday at Cataract Void. Click here for more details on the meet. We are in need of volunteers, especially to get the course ready for Saturday and to help with admin. Please send us an email at info@indyo.org if you can help!
Also, the Flying Pig A-Meet is coming to Indiana in 2013! you can click here to visit the OCIN site for all the details, but the events will be in and around Bloomington the weekend of April 5th-7th. This is a big even that will draw participants from all over the country. You should really do your best to not miss out on this one.
And of couse, like any great events, lots of generous volunteers will be needed to make it happen. As always, email us at info@indyo.org for more info.

Thanks to everyone for braving the cold to come out and participate in our annual Score O on the West Side of Eagle Creek. The results can be found by clicking here.
Once again a huge thanks to Jay Newlin and Monty Wilson for setting the course up, and for Monty an Rachel Moir for handling admin duties the morning of the event.
We've started to get some questions about our schedule for 2013. Keep an eye on the website as we'll be getting the tentative schedule up this week and will update the site as we firm up permissions etc.

Just a quick reminder for everyone to come out to the west side of Eagle Creek for our annual score O. Looks like it will be a chilly but nice day on Saturday!
Also a quick update, we will NOT be having elections this weekend. In part due to the short notice but also due to the lack of indoor accommodations. However, the board will be there to discuss opportunities for helping the club out over the coming year. We look forward to seeing you there! |
